Hand Embroidered Picture - Materials in Dialogue
In my artwork I like to challenge the stereotypes of how materials are used. In this piece wood, metal, cardboard and plastic have been hand and machine stitched, techniques that are often reserved for textiles materials (which are also included in the piece). The grid design is also a nod to the under and over grid like effect of a woven textile.
- The mountboard is approximately 20x25cm wide (fits standard UK 20x25cm shadow box frame).
- The artwork can be displayed stood against a flat surface or can be displayed on an easel or mounted into a picture frame (shadow box frame needed). Note that the easel and picture frame shown in the images are not included and are to show examples of how the work could be mounted.
- The product is for decorative purposes only and can't be washed.
