This resource summarises key learning for 1st, 2nd and 3rd class levers. Learning is relevant to all exam boards but users should check their specification to identify learning relevant to them and to identify any additional learning that should be considered.

We map our resources against the learning listed in our various curriculum planning documents some of which can be downloaded here.

This resource is part of a series covering learning in D&T there’s a common format to other resources. The resource includes:

  • 3 knowledge-based slides summarising basic learning on 1st, 2nd and 3rd class levers in a visual format.
  • Retrieval activities: several ThinkDo and TechDoodle activities (note these slides can only be edited in a limited way)
  • The logos on some slides prompt more analytical thinking.

Look at our #ThinkDoMAKE resources for ideas on practical activities linked to the learning in this resource.
