This resource introduces learning on biomimicry. We map our resources against the learning listed in our various curriculum planning documents some of which can be downloaded here.
The resource includes:
- Knowledge-based slide which summarises basic information on biomimicry.
- A detailed case study on Speedo Fastskin.
- One page summary with basic case study information on a range of biomimicry inspiration points and products they have inspired.
- Basic matching activity that may be more suitable for use with younger students.
- Three research case study activity handouts using the AskNature website (these handouts may be more suitable for older students as information on the website has quite a high reading age).
- A series of ＃ThinkDo and TechDoodle resources.
FILE FORMAT
The download is an editable PowerPoint (PowerPoint is needed to be able to read & edit the document). Note the ＃ThinkDo and TechDoodle slides can only be edited in a very limited way. The large file size may not be suitable for downloading to some mobile devices.
