This resource shows how to create a simple hand sewn e-textiles circuit using basic components that are mounted onto the surface of a textiles material or product. The basic e-textiles circuit in these instructions is made up of a battery holder and an LED which are joined together with conductive thread. A switch is also integrated into the circuit. These components are electronic components specially designed for use with textiles fabrics. There are no wires or any soldering to be done and you just sew the components together using specialist conductive thread. The instructions tell you how to make the circuit and include photo instructions and trouble shooting tips. The instructions includes information on where e-textiles components might be purchased from.

The download is a Zip file that consists of an editable PowerPoint (PowerPoint is needed to be able to read & edit the document) as well as a PDF version which should be accessible on most devices. The large file size may not be suitable for downloading to some mobile devices.
