Two new free resources have been released with a focus on wool and hair fibres.
The resource 'Starting Points for Research: Wool & Hair Fibres' supports students to develop research skills and to use what they have found out to support and develop their learning. The free PowerPoint resource has 3 slide handouts and each slide groups together different examples of research linked to a big question. The slide includes video links, brief information on the video as well as a weblink for further research. Questions are also included on the handout to encourage students to apply their learning. This resource may be more suitable for older students or for teachers to use to as part of their planning (the resource is editable).
The second resource is a set of 15 multi choice questions on wool and hair fibres. This is more suitable for use with a range of age groups. The editable PowerPoint has 5 slides each with 3 questions and 4 potential answers. There is also an information on the value of using multi choice questions as part of a spaced and retrieval approach to learning.
