Our latest free editable PowerPoint resource might be suitable for identifying some short video clips that show examples of everyday products that are inspired by technology originally designed for space. The resource has 4 information slides pulling together useful webpages, videos and information on products inspired by space technologies, including covering several examples in detail (phase change materials, Nitinol shape memory alloy and memory foam). A question sheet slide handout is also included with both basic and more challenging questions focused on the content of the slides.
The resource is flexible in how it might be used. Slide handouts can be used with students to encourage independent research. Teachers might also use the slides as a starting point for their own research and planning.
